San Diego county’s Regional Task Force on the Homeless, provides accessible and accurate information to developing effective programs for persons in need and our inter-connected communities. The RTFH addresses community needs by making detailed information available that enables local service providers to attract the resources needed and to serve the 9,000+ persons who are homeless in the San Diego region.

Knowledge leads to understanding, which results in change. RTFH provides insight on what it takes to reduce, prevent, and END homelessness. It addresses a myriad of issues with community partners concerning housing, veterans, chronic homelessness, mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, youth, and more.

The RTFH also manages the region’s Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), a secure online countywide database. The HMIS enables service providers to effectively collaborate and deliver cost-effective services.
